Online Safety Toolkit

Online Safety Toolkit

Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you. On the occasion of the global Safer Internet Day celebrations, we would like to show our support and share our knowledge from Nepal by publishing a dedicated online safety toolkit.

Online Safety Toolkit is a project of Hamro Palo dedicated to raise awareness about digital hygiene among young girls and boys. Hamro Palo (Our Turn) and People in Need (PIN) are happy to present a new initiative: online safety tools for adolescents.

This hands-on toolkit will help identify and prevent online violence. It is based on research conducted with adolescents interviewed in rural districts in November and December 2017. Our toolkit tackles topics such as opportunities of online resources for learning, social connections, mapping major threats, scenarios of adolescent stories, tools to stay safe and ways to report cases of abuse.

Online safety toolkit is a non profit project of Hamro Palo that was conducted in partnership with People in Need. Thank you to all contributors: Agata Ners, Ola PerczyƄska, Radha Shrestha, Anita Thapa, Jenisha Twanabasu and others.
